First congrats to all fans who stood up and screamed no on this one. If we would have hired this guy I have no doubt ESPN and others would have trashed our state for a long long time. ESPECIALY AFTER sarah blasted John Currie on tweeter and brought to light what most didn’t know . I never even heard about Greg or this sealed testamony until Sunday.. Did you?
I have no doubt Greg is a great coach and good family man and chances are he would report If he saw Jerrry doing anything today, But fact is simple.. someone knew about Jerry after his 30years of acts and until a new law is passed that forces truth cerium test when people honesty can’t be proven the people must judge the best way the can while erroring towards what’s best for kids every time..
So here is my best judgment questions..
1, The Why:
Why would a co-worker name names and make this claim?
— : Because he was ask if he heard anything and was required by law to be truthful. Now weather he knew all the facts is not the question but “ what did you know or hear”.
—If he lied it could it could destroy a good man so unless there was some hate here I highly doubt he lied.. Nope he heard something and responded best he could .
— if he didn’t tell truth he could go to jail and he is not in jail because he gave an “ best of my knowledge” response..
2, Why would a coach who saw the act not report it?
— because doing so they thought would destroy Penn State, would destroy hall of fame coaches and would forever link him to Penn State though if he had been honest he would have at least landed a UT job..
- His career would have been slowed no matter what happened if he was linked in any way.. Hence the 2016 unsealing just cost him UT job.. Greg was just getting started in coaching and to be known as the guy who downed JoePa would not have been good in those days, Now days it doesn’t matter because everyone is reporting everyone even if not true—
— did the coach really see what was claimed I don’t know but I would hope he didn’t see anything and that the other coach made a mistake,, again noway to prove he saw anything but it was serious enough eith r way to be sealed from public eye and most likely because someone wanted to protect the coaches public perception.
— Why did he refuse to say weather he saw anything or not but only said he needed to watch his comments. Hell if someone ask me if I saw something like this I would scream hell no and I am sure most would scream the same. He could have defended himself well before testamony was unsealed but chose to wait until 2016., tweeter was not on any radar back then but he hasd reporters willing to write “ No sir I saw and heard nothing my entire time here at PSU related to Jerry”s crime”. But again he chose not to— Why??
