As of right now the reality may be a top 20 class after a horrendously bad football season and coaching change.
Reality is there are several good to possibly great players in this future class.
Reality is most high profile recruits want to go to the hot teams right now that are winning. As the Vols get back to winning consistently again the recruiting will get better. I personally think no matter how this class finishes out, Coach Pruitt and staff have done an admiral job.
As for the Entitlement sect that spouts out we are UT and we should always have top five classes. It hasn't been UT in 15 or 16 years. Most of these kids were 2 to 3 when the Vols were a powerhouse on the field and off. You won't win many recruiting battles based on traditional entitlement and disillusion of the state of the program.
The only thing right now Coach Pruitt can offer is early playing time, playing in SEC and a great university. I do however believe he will get a couple big names Wednesday but don't get caught up in entitlement and forget the true reality of where we are at the moment.
Now, I'm not making this thread to lower expectations but rather keep expectations in the proper place at this time in our beloved program condition.
As John Ward once told Alabama field goal after a miss fg against UT in 1998. "Better days are ahead young man"! And for the Vols!!!
