Losing sucks but this loss feels a little different. We squandered this game in a lot of small ways, but this is a game that we lose by multiple scores last season (especially when the breaks started going against us).

There is a lot to "build on" and our mistakes are largely correctable. The celebration penalties are frustrating, but at least these guys are celebrating again. We've seen the opposite in the past. We've also seen the OL not stick up for themselves or other teammates, so 68 did something dumb, but at least they are showing passion.

What we also have are (at least) two QBs that are better than what we've been used to trotting out there and their play will only improve.

The D was salty and will keep us in games and Special Teams was very good which may steal us one somewhere along the way.

Tiyon would have made a difference in the game as would have Byron Young. A couple of refereeing calls going our way would also have been huge. It won't be that way all the time.

We will beat someone along the way that we aren't supposed to and I think they learn hard lessons from this loss. I hate moral victories, but I can see this team improving. Those who are already throwing in the towel are probably a little premature. They'll come back around.
