I have a thought. It seems that Pouncey is a very desired prospect by the Vols the more I read. They just added Palmer. Granted, Murphy is on "flip alert" and has grade concerns. And many of GQ experts have been calling for a J Jones dump for a while.
BUT, the other noteworthy thing is that the Vols basically quit recruiting corners about the time we hired our new DB coach. Granted we got confirmation from Labruzza and Shamburger ( I still say both are legitimate corners and both are higher ranked than the 3 corners that played most of the snaps for us this year when Sutton not on field).
Anyway, all that points to Byrd going to corner, IMO.
I've been one saying that with Josh Smith out for spring, with Malone going nfl.......Byrd was gong to be needed next to Jennings. But, Johnson, Callaway and L Williams (even George) need their reps to improve this spring. So, I say move Byrd. He and even Ev Berry(if healthy and speed there) can come over for some cameo WR reps come fall if we need more speed over there.
