He thinks the staff told 2016 Devante Brooks to commit to scare away Kyle Oliver and let him know we are recruiting over you.
He thinks they did that to free up a spot without actually having to let him go, that he would just get the message. Says that a prospect the staff didn't expect to get informed them that he would be a Vol and they would need to make room.
Basilio is a little out there, but to fair this would all add up if true. Maybe Oliver didn't get the message and instead of cutting a mid-state kid we let Ford go instead because of the depth at his position.
