This is year 4 after 3 "great" years of recruiting. The roster was stacked and completely full with a decent mix of seniors, but plenty of talented juniors, sophomores and freshman. So we were told.
Injuries of course played a major part of this season, but it just exposed how weak this roster is outside of a handful of bricks Butch supposedly stockpiled. They either aren't recognizing talent, or not developing them once they get here. The latter seems more likely.
We have recruited some highly rated guys who mysteriously can't find the field. Or when they do they aren't very good. And then we have some guys who have no business in the SEC getting all the snaps.
Recruiting diamond in the rough types hoping they turn into decent players doesn't work when they're not even coaching up the 4/5 stars they've brought in.
