OC Scott: Florida, particularly Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and Miami/South Florida. Also North Carolina
QB Canales: Cali and Texas... As needed to recruit QBs from elsewhere.
RB Gillespie: Louisiana and Mississippi
WR Beard: Florida, particularly Miami/South Florida. Also spent a year on staff at UGA so perhaps some Georgia ties? (Obviously we haven't hired anyone here yet, but he's the leader in the clubhouse according to AP)
OL Wells: Mid-State, Kentucky, North Georgia
DC Shoop: Mid-State, PA? (not a particularly strong recruiter in general, IMO)
LB Thigpen: Alabama and North Carolina? Help me out here
DB Warren: Atlanta and North Carolina
DL Hoke: Mid-West and North-East
Any corrections, additions/subtractions are appreciated. Looks like the staff has been upgraded from a recruiting standpoint. Strong ties to talent rich areas that Tennessee is historically strong in.
Does anyone on staff has Virginia ties? IMHO we need to invest time and effort there as much as we do Florida, GA, and NC.
