I have been looking over our Scholarship offers, and have some questions about several players. The first few players I would like to discuss come from within the state. Does anyone know where we might stand with players like Eric Gray, Ani Izuchukwu, Joseph Anderson, Kristian Williams, Maurice Hampton, and Jashon Watkins? I know a few of these prospects are committed to other schools at the moment. Did we stop recruiting Izuchukwu or Anderson? Is there a chance we get back in the race for any long time commits like Wilhoite, Nash, or even Jaydon Hill? Do we really have a chance with Pappoe or To'oto'o? Does Trey Knox Sign in December?
I know Tennessee has been very active in recruiting NC, GA, AL, FL, and seems like MS. Has there been any update on Boobie Curry, Khris Bogle, Dante Walker, and Charles Moore (Miss St Commit)? As unpopular as it may seem to many, I do not believe Bill Norton ends up at Tennessee. He and his family love Smart and GA. I believe after speaking to some, it will be very difficult to sway him away from Athens.
With the December singing period rapidly approaching, what prospects will no longer be available? How many of the players that are committed to other schools that we are still actively recruiting, sign in December? Will there be more prospects that hold off until February, or do most jump on board as they did last year for the new singing period? If we swing and miss with some of the players that were mentioned earlier, then what prospects do Tennessee turn to to fill those voids?
Other than the obvious need for lineman such as Darnell Wright, what options are Tennessee exploring if they do not get good news on Wright? What direction do they take if they are unable to land a marquee defensive lineman such as K. Williams or Charles Moore? Who are we recruiting at the inside linebacker spot other than Lakia Henry?
Just had a few minutes here at work, and thought it may be a good topic to discuss. I am very curious to see what prospects elect to sign in December, and where that will leave our "Big Board" going forward. Please let me know what you're thinking, and as always information from @Jesse_Simonton @Brent_Hubbs @Austin_Price @Rob Lewis is always appreciated.
Go Vols and have a Blessed Day!
