It is great to see us hitting the Old Dominion hard again in. Even during the slacker years as of late the players that we did get from VA have been QUALITY players to a high degree. But since the 50s and perhaps even earlier Tennessee has had a HUGE recruiting presence in VA particularly in Tidewater and has feasted on the top players. Multiple Vol All Americans and even higher college FB award winners have come out of VA. To reopen that pipe line will pay huge dividends. No area in the country produces more D I talent per capita than VA and it becomes even more evident when you look at the very highest rated recruits. They almost always have some top 10 type guys and have even had a couple #1 rated guy in the country relatively recently.
