Been working today with a friend who lost everything in the fires. Just found out that the Red Cross will be leaving tomorrow and leaving these people that need their help high and dry. Also lots of talk that they will be taking all of the donated items from the community onto their next site.
Lots of people still need help. Even if it's donating old clothes, or money for a meal it would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure I personally fully believe the Red Cross is taking all the donations with them, but it would be helpful for all the people helping if you took the extra few minutes to find a local charity to donate to.
