Utah's Kyle Whittingham doesn't shy away from telling you that he thinks the Utes will be among the Pac-12's best in both lines of scrimmage. But to break Stanford and Oregon's seven-year stranglehold on the Pac-12 championship, they need to throw the ball better after finishing 11th in the league last season in passing offense (180 yards per game). The quarterback job is wide open for 2016, but Whittingham said that's not an excuse. "What kept us from winning the championship last year was not being able to throw the football nearly effective enough," Whittingham said. "That's got to change."
