When this thing started, ANYBODY who dared say "I don't buy it. Maybe it happens, but i'm on a wait and see approach" was straight up crucified on here. Everybody jumping in saying "you're stupid!", "you just don't get it", "if you're too dumb to realize how serious this is going to be", "you know more than the experts?!", etc.
We are a month in to this thing...less than 20k deaths (ALL deaths are important and it's tragic for those 20k families. Not the point of this before people just try to latch on to this). 4 weeks ago we were hearing of the "in 2 weeks, this thing is about to get serious". 2 weeks passed. Then it was "THE CURVE!" and "phase 2 is about to be serious". A month has passed.............................welp?
We shut down an entire country and killed small businesses and cancelled schools, right? Where are all those people who created post after post after post straight up attacking the "wait and see" crowd? All we heard for the first 2 weeks was how this was going to kill tons and tons of people. Y'all ready to admit this thing was overblown?
The government and the talking heads that everyone just followed like sheep said:
"2-3 million"
Nope.
"ummm like 300k"
Nope.
"well uhhhh 200-300k"
Nope.
"SHIT! We missed this one big time and wet the bed. Hurry! Get on there and tell them that ummmm...We saved them with social distancing. It WOULD have killed 3 million had it not been for what we did. They've believed us up to this point so, just throw out that we saved 3 million by not letting them shake hands and stuff. They'll buy it."

Yet because we got scared and didn't have a plan, we jumped the gun and did ALL this for something that wasn't like they thought in their "projections". The sad part is that most of Americans bought it hook, line and sinker.
