I'm that guy, again. Completely wrapped up in this team. There's so much to like, we just don't have enough horses to run the SEC just yet.

This defense is very well coached. I have been beating that drum for awhile. It is very easy to see that we have veteran position coaches at all 3 levels. I have very hopeful for continuity on that side of the ball this off-season. If we can get some guys to come back + the right transfers we could be very salty on that side of the ball moving forward.

The scoop and score was complete BS. Total bail out job for the SEC's best Heisman candidate. Nothing else needs to be said about it.

As Brent pointed out, couldn't connect on 2 open deep balls on the second drive of the game. Ole Miss had their issues connecting deep as well, early.

Huge play big Omari Thomas on the sack and safety. He's coming along nicely and could be All-SEC good next season.

Jimmy Holiday looked good with the ball in his hands on the free kick return. Fast and decisive. I like his size a lot, he's pretty well put together. I hope he can find a home and become a player here because the raw tools are there and plays the game the right way (hard).

Early, Jabari Small played well. He isn't as good as Tiyon but you can win with Small being your #2. I also thought Dayne Davis looked good in the run game.

Aaron Beasley is pretty good. Not sure what his ceiling is, but he consistently makes good plays. Runs well. Feels things well.

Not sure what happened to Alontae Taylor but we need him back. Captain obvious, I know. I'm not sure how realistic it is but I'd love to have him back next year.

Ole Miss defense played out of their minds. They brought guys from all over the place and just played really well. I was shocked honestly... Kudos to them and their staff for making it happen.

Big play early in the second quarter. We had Ole Miss in 2nd and 8. They ran an inverted veer with jet mo... Banks was the backside LB and he ran to the motion player, I would imagine he should have held for the QB. Would have made it a 2 yard gain instead of a 5 or 6 yard gain, which would have made the 4th down play a lot different.

Davis struggled in pass pro early, to put it mildly. He seems heavy footed.

Butler with a sack in back to back weeks. Forced a fumble and just one of those bounce of ball plays that doesn't go our way as the rebel OL fall on it. Kudos to Butler and the secondary for making a play.

Roman Harrison saves this team a lot of yards with how well he runs to the ball. He's undersized on the LOS but once the ball commits he is running as hard as anyone and has the speed to get in on the play. If he can find 10lbs this off season he could be LaTroy Lewis, Corey Vereen good.

Another HUGE play where we just can't quite make the play. 3rd and 12 rebels deep in their own territory. Beasley gets free in the backfield but can't get Corral to the ground and he dances up the sideline for the 1st down.

McCullough didn't tackle well in the first half, Flowers tackled as well as he has during his career here. Perhaps thats too strong on Flowers but he played well...

I was disappointed with how we got off blocks on the perimeter. We have played better than that this season but we got ate up by their WRs. On the flip side, we carried their skill guys vertically a lot better than I anticipated.

Kiffin said before the game this week that #1 Springer was the straw that stirs the defense drink, and he was correct. This guy made a ton of plays for them. We couldn't block him.

Byron Young has to fix his stance. He's way overextended and makes his first step really slow. What's incredible is that he's still making plays being the last man out of his stance. He's really good when he gets to stunt inside and has some freedom to just go. But he's making football plays too, understanding how to keep his shoulders square and play his responsibilities vs option game stuff etc.

Awesome play by Theo to break up the wheel route on 3rd down late in the 2nd quarter. He almost picked it.

Ole Miss OL did a really good job of handling our pressure. He had a hard time getting guys free, and we brought guys pretty regularly.

I thought Kamal Hadden played pretty well for his first snaps of the season. Corner can be kind of like the OL, no one knows you're out there unless you screw up... Well, he didnt screw up.

Ole Miss played with some really heavy boxes in the second half. 7 and 8 guys at times, walking safeties down late. Not sure why we didn't stress them more horizontally and vertically in the passing game. Not picking on anyone, just thinking out loud.

Starting the 4th quarter and monday's duties are calling...
