I mean screw Cuonzo....and everyone who has gone along and insinuated the race card about his tenure here. (And to be honest, Barnes' comment kind of pissed me off too)

We did nothing but support him. In his first season ('11-'12) we were 5th in the entire NCAA with an average attendance of 17,411

In his 2nd season we averaged 17,395
3rd season we averaged 15,475

(For reference, we averaged 15,064 for Tyndall and Barnes' first 2 seasons were 14,233 and 13,637)

What did Cuonzo give us? After inheriting a program that had gone to 6 straight NCAA tournaments:
-a 2nd round NIT exit in year 1
-a 1st round NIT exit in year 2
-and a sweet 16 after squeeking into an NCAA play in game in the "First 4 in" (as an 11 seed with a roster that should have been a top 25 team) and drawing Massachusetts and Mercer in the first and second rounds

That roster had 5 upperclassmen starters, 3 of whom would go on to play in the NBA
-Antonio Barton SR
-Jordan McRae SR (NBA)
-Josh Richardson JR (NBA)
-Jeronne Maymon SR
-Jarnell Stokes JR (NBA)

Like the Schiano outrage, this is just another example of the national media buying in to the narrative the coach is feeding them without having any direct knowledge of what actually happened. In their minds: "UT just ran off a black HC that took them to the sweet 16 and he's telling us that it's because they never supported him.....that's racist!"
