Not sure how much the common fan has been following his situation but it seems like the NCAA is scrambling to respond to his claims. They've even changed their compliance rules last week regarding immunity for "whistle blowers".
I don't think it will happen but let's say that DT somehow wins his appeal against the NCAA and it's ruled that he should have been punished along the lines of Calhoun or Boeheim. Just a 10 game suspension. Again, I don't expect that to happen but here's a hypothetical...
We fired DT with cause. Is UT culpable at all if that show cause is rescinded? Would we owe him any of his contract? Or would that be something that would be a lawsuit between DT and NCAA (which is another reason why I would never expect them to rescind the show cause)? Just curious.
