IMHO...
Let me preface this by saying there are many things I enjoy in this forum from each of the writers.
I appreciate the effort that Rob puts into his writing. We all know he loves UT but he tells you the good, the bad and the ugly in his articles.
He is the perfect example of how someone can follow his heart and still write objectively.
Jesse is very similar to Rob; he follows his heart and writes objective content. The issue is his heart isn’t in Tennessee. Therefore, he can’t help but write articles/tweets that don’t translate well for Tennessee fans. Content is not the issue, delivery is 100% the issue. It would seem as if he takes pride in ruffling the feathers of his client.
Regardless of your opinions, it is the writers job to write quality content that appeals to the consumer, or the writing will eventually cease. If a business was to alienate 10% of their business annually, they would eventually cease to exist. It is crucial for the business to embrace the desires of the consumer.
While the material can be objective, it’s more important to be aware of the subjective material woven within the objective side.
Moral: Never lose site of who pays your bills.
