Well he must not be very good note taker. You said finding a shot blocker is Barnes’ biggest priority. Well Baylor nor Gonzaga has a shot blocker on their team. It’s completely unnecessary to win.
In fact, Gonzaga averaged 2.6 blocks per game as a team. Some players averaged more than that this year. Baylor’s leading shot blocker averaged 0.9 blocks per game.
Defense and rebounding are WAY more important attributes in a big man and what we SHOULD be focusing on. SMH...
Clearly Barnes just isn’t that good at building a basketball team or evaluating talent. Good coach, but below average talent evaluator and roster builder. Judging by all his misses and stupid takes over the years it’s pretty clear he got lucky with Grant, Alexander, and Bone and Admiral just fell in his lap. Those guys are the exceptions with Barnes not the norm.
