If 9/11 caused an overhaul in airport security/screening imagine what this will do. Going forward, every time a lethal virus presents itself halfway across the world, the borders will instantly close for extended periods with little or no warning. And they’ll do it for Ebola, avian flu, anything that seems scary. I expect new niche industries to be created while global business recedes.
