Not saying Butch is going to be Saban someday, but this comparison is noteworthy:
-Saban was around 45 when he started at MSU
- MSU was his first head coaching job at a Power Five school, after a stint at Toledo
- Saban's record over five years at MSU:
1995/6 - 6-5-1
1996/7 - 6-6
1997/8 - 7-5
1998/9 - 6-6
1999/0 - 10-2
LSU hired Saban at the end of the 1999 season and the rest is history. So even the great Saban wasn't born a coaching wizard. He grew into it. Just saying.
