I've not been on the board so do not know if this has been posted but Skai Moore, who has lead SC in tackles since he was a frosh, is out for the year with a neck injury that will need surgery. The neck injury goes back to last season and there is some speculation that is the reason he did not declare for the draft. I have no idea if that is true but some are saying he knew he could not pass the NFL physical. He is their best returning defensive player.
After surgery he will not be able to have contact for at least six months so the plan is to redshirt him so he can come back for the 2017 season. That sounds kind of iffy to me.
Frank Martin's team continues to have turmoil with dismissals. Could not happen to a nicer guy.
SC baseball fans were disappointed that they once again flamed out in the SEC tourney but were then elated when they were told they would host a regional. But the hated Clempsum won the ACC tourney and got a national seed so if both win, they go to Tigerland to play in Super Regional. Now they are pissed again. And, to top it off, their first game is with Rhode Island, not a team that would normally scare anyone, but they have one stud pitcher and that has the game chickens even madder. Reminds me when Burke was playing and we drew MTSU, I think, and they also had one of those super pitchers. But we prevailed.
I am loving it when they are swinging in the wind.
