Ga. governor signs law which extends Ga requirement of 3 days to respond to information request to 90 days.The Governor even said he hoped this would help Ga win a National Title. As a Lawyer I see just the opposite. Atlanta and Athens sports coverage has been incredibly soft on coverage of Ga discipline problems, but passing a law to limit Reporters access to records is gonna be like throwing Prime Rib tho a Lion. Those reporters are really going to want to discover what Mr. Smart ? is hiding. Also will all SEC schools have to provide timely records while only Georgia gets to wait (cover up ?) 90 days. Hope our anxious local sports reporters get fired up about this as they well should.
