How do you see things shaking out? Here are the remaining SEC schedules for Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida:
Tennessee
@ Georgia
@ Texas A&M
vs. Alabama
@ South Carolina
vs. Kentucky
vs. Missouri
@ Vanderbilt
Georgia
vs. Tennessee
@ South Carolina
vs. Vanderbilt
vs. Florida (neutral site)
@ Kentucky
vs. Auburn
Florida
@ Vanderbilt
vs. LSU
vs. Missouri
vs. Georgia (neutral site)
@ Arkansas
vs. South Carolina
To me, the most realistic scenario is that we beat Georgia, lose to Texas A&M and Alabama, then drop one other SEC game we shouldn't. Hope I'm wrong, but that's just how I see it at this point. I love this team, but we are erratic and inconsistent, and that will bite us. Even under that scenario, however, we should still make the SECCG.
Georgia would have 2 SEC losses, and they likely will lose at least 1 of Florida/Auburn. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they stumbled against South Carolina, either.
I am most concerned about Florida sneaking past us to get to the SECCG. We really need for them to lose to LSU this weekend. If they beat LSU, the only other game I feel good about them losing is Arkansas. If they lose to LSU, I would feel very confident that they'd lose 1 of Mizzou/Georgia/South Carolina.
This would put Tennessee as a very strong and dangerous 9-3 team going into the SECCG against (likely) either an undefeated or 1 loss team from the West with their eyes on the playoff. 2007 SECCG all over again!
