SEC Week 1 results

[Hutch 7]

The conference went a mediocre 7-7 this week. Let's look at the results and rank opponents:

Tennessee beat App. St
Alabama crushed USC
Arkansas beat La Tech
aTm beat UCLA
USCjr beat Vandy
UGA beat UNC
UF beat UMass

Of the victors, I think aTm defeated the toughest opponent. Alabama looked beastly in abusing maybe the worst USC team since pre-Pete Carrol. UNC did not look that great and still can't stop a nose bleed. I would love to see UNC vs App St. in a bowl game this year. UMass and La Tech are not very good. Both USCjr and Vandy are awful.

Now for the losers:

LSU lost to Wisconsin
Ole Miss lost to FSU
Miss St lost to South Alabama
UK lost to Southern Miss
Vandy lost to USCjr
Mizzou lost to WVU
Auburn lost to Clemson

Auburn and Ole Miss both lost to good teams (once FSU got going they were really tough). I would say that UK lost to a better team than LSU. I am not sure Wisconsin is very good. WVU was a horrible match up for Mizzou (they can score points). Miss St., well, what can we say.

5. USC (on name alone)
6. App St.
7. Southern Miss
8. WVU
9. Wisconsin
10. La Tech
11. USCjr
12. Vandy
13. South Alabama
