There is always some discussion about the job this staff is doing this year in assembling the 2017 class. To revisit a talking point I would like to quote Paul Fortenberry:
"It's interesting, isn't it. They've missed on some guys they wanted instate and that's definitely hurt. But, I also think taking guys so early doesn't help. They don't leave themselves room at the end and they are scrambling a bit to upgrade.
Just didn't seem well managed up to this point. Obviously, that could change with more than two months remaining until signing day."
Based on last year's results and how things are developing this year, this staff's recruiting strategy should be questioned more and not less.
