According to the website NFLDraftScouts.com they project Minnesota taking another WR in the first round because of the poor performance of CP.

We all knew that CP is a player that even at UT would not do what he is supposed to do and freaking learn the offensive playbook and what routes he was suppposed to run and the audibles.
The QB cannot count on CP doing what he is supposed to do and his route running is not great.

This was cut and pasted from the website about their projections in the 2015 draft.

11. Minnesota Vikings - WR DeVante Parker, Louisville
So far the Cordarrelle Patterson experiment in Minnesota has been a disappointment. And while the Vikings shouldn't (and won't) give up on him just yet, there is still a need for a potential No. 1 receiver for Bridgewater. And Parker, Bridgewater's former teammate at Louisville), fills that need.

Let's face facts, does anyone thing that Wesley Walker has more talent that CP? IS WW faster, taller, quicker or jump higher? No, but WW does what he is supposed to do when he is supposed to do it and and he has great hands.

There are tons of great athletes that do not make great football players. CP is a great athlete who is not taking his craft seriously and will end up with a short career if he is not careful. To be totally honest CP does not appear to be one of those people with the headsmarts to be investing his money so he can live off it the rest of his life or does anyone want to argue differently?
Such a shame to see someone waste their talent.
