Had a few minutes before getting into Saturday’s activities and was catching up this morning on recruiting. Somehting stood out in my reading. Big Orange Lawyer’s posts. For kicks and giggles, took a look at his posts for the last 48 hours. There were 56 of them. Here is what I learned:
- UT is kryptonite for coaches, of all sports
- The next 2 football seasons are throwaways & we’ve not bottomed out yet - which I think means that we have a season ahead worse than 4-8
- We have the worst roster in the conference and we are in the bottom 5-10 of the P5
- The university knows that football is never rebounding & is trying to milk all the money they can from the older generation. They have just about lost “forever” anyone under 30
- Shumur is going for 400 again on us next year
- Pruitt’s recruiting strength is highly suspect, he has major red flags, and is neutered, he got guys from Atlanta to UGA, which was easy, and he got guys to Bama because of Saban & he will be lucky to win 8 by year 5 if he is here that long
- He questions whether we have any new coaches who can recruit other than Robert Gillespie
- We might only sign 3 guys next week and not get anyone on our board while losing Grant and Young. In fact Young is gone according to BOL. Which brings us to Willie Taggart.
- He is a STUD recruiter. Taggart will be selecting, not recruiting, going forward. He’s rebuilt 3 places and rebuilds FSU quickly. He’s the type of guy we needed.
