Unseeded JMU just burned down the prohibitive favorite, No. 1 ranked and seeded Oklahoma 4-3 in 8 innings. Interesting how umpires can influence an outcome. JMU batter had a 3-0 count and the next pitch was at her ankles, she should have walked but the plate ump called it a strike. She then fouled off the next pitch which was near the same location. On the 3-2 count, the Okie pitcher got the ball up and out over the plate and she parked it over the left center field wall and that's a winner. Congrats to JMU. It was on the third time in the history of the tournament that the No. 1 seed lost in their opening game. JMU dominated in Knoxville region and then beat Missouri in the Super Regional.
