He went on for awhile about putting Shoop on the sideline as opposed to being in the box. It will speed up communication with the calls to the players. This will cut down on us not being ready when the ball is snapped.

We are moving too many people around when the offense puts a player in motion. We are trading tackles, trading mike and will, and rolling both safeties and the nickel... Offenses love when defenses lose their mind like this on a simple trade. We have to do less moving around when the offense trades or motions.

Stop blitzing the nickel and CB so much. We aren't good at it and lose contain when we do it.

DE's have to play on the LOS more. They are getting up field and opening up running lanes.

*** IMO our DE's do a decent job at playing the run, but their pursuit angles down the LOS are bad, particularly when they are asked to spill the ball into the perimeter... Once the ball has bounced and the DE is in pursuit, their first few steps are up the field... Whereas if they would play flat down the LOS they would arrive at the ball carrier much more quickly.
