1.Outside of Sutton ,the play of the secondary was poor,especially Mosely and Foreman when in man to man press coverage....not physical enough and let receivers get behind them- a cardinal sin in m to m coverage.However,BCQ and R's made some outstanding passing plays.(losing Gauldin and McNeal hurts and Kelly wasn't 100 percent)
2.Rem we were playing a plain vanilla D...little blitzing and stunting and BG's ol held a lot but our dt push was weak.
3.Ol blocked better than expected...Thomas blocked well at C and on sweeps...real advantage to have C who can do that; but rem BC had a below average D.
4.Our RB's looked good but not a good D from BG.
5.Hurd and receivers blocked well...best in a while at UT.
6.Have a problem at MLB until Kirkland can call plays,make adjustments and get front 7 lined up; not sure until we see him play more.
7.Don't have much dept at TE behind Wolf.
8.Hard to evaluate special teams because BC weak there.Hope Medly's kicking problems an aberration.
9.Unknown:how will can we block against SEC front 7's...we need to run about 60 percent of the time,reasonably effective.
10.To early to know if Dobbs downfield passing has improved.
11.Saw a lot of poor tackling,especially the secondary.
