Regarding H1N1 reported and confirmed cases:

"Through July 23, 2009, a total of 43,677 laboratory-confirmed infections with pandemic (H1N1) 2009 had been reported in the United States by the 50 states and the District of Columbia, including 5,009 hospitalizations and 302 deaths."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3375879/

I did not realize that the H1N1 numbers people have been quoting were based on the extrapolations from this paper:
https://www.cdc.gov/H1N1flu/pdf/Exact Numbers_February.pdf

Here, they multiplied the number of hospitalizations by 2.7 to get an estimated count, then multiplied the newly calculated number of hospitalizations by 221.79 to get their estimated number of cases. To estimate deaths they multiplied the calculated hospitalizations by the death% from AHDRA data.

This means that we are already higher than the 4 month mark of confirmed cases and deaths from the swine flu despite being in the middle of month 2 of Covid-19. I believe that I am interpreting this all correctly, please let me know if I am wrong.
