  • USA Gymnastics and a court-appointed committee representing the sexual abuse victims of former team doctor Larry Nassar filed a joint plan to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana that would end the spate of lawsuits against the national governing body and compensate the roughly 500 gymnasts involved in the proceedings via a $425 million settlement. The proposed payout, which still requires the approval of insurance companies, court certification and a vote by the individual victims, is nearly twice the $215 million that USA Gymnastics offered victims in 2020, which was rejected by both Nassar survivors and the court.   • PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said there will be $633 million in comprehensive earnings up for grabs during the 2021-22 season, which represents an 18 percent year-over-year increase, including an approximately $35 million bump in official prize money and a combined increase of $15 million in the FedExCup and Comcast Business Tour top-10 bonus pools.
