  • The NCAA is in preliminary discussions with the state of Indiana and city of Indianapolis about holding all 67 games of its 2021 men's Division I Basketball Tournament in and around the capital city, which was already scheduled to host the Final Four from April 3-5, due to concern about holding tournament games at 13 different sites across the country amid the worsening coronavirus pandemic. Dan Gavitt, senior vice president of basketball for the NCAA, said the organization hopes to confirm Indianapolis as the host city for all of March Madness by Jan. 1, and there is no word yet about whether games will be open or closed to fans.   • The Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Football Team all scrapped plans to host fans at their upcoming home games amid a national rise in the COVID-19 infection rate. The Eagles had 7,500 total people - including players, staff and media - at three games this season, while the Ravens held one game in front of approximately 4,300 fans and Washington hosted 3,000 attendees at one game this season. A conference source pointed to the non-binding nature of the advisories and to the Pac-12's health and safety precautions.

No. 12 Miami had its remaining three games rescheduled Monday because of COVID-19 cases in the program, forcing the Atlantic Coast Conference to shuffle a total of six games over the last month of the season. The number of games across major college football scheduled for this weekend that have already been called off is up to seven after four went down Monday, including Mississippi at Texas A&M and Charlotte at No. 15 Marshall.
Former Harvard Fencing Coach Accused of Taking $1.5 Million in Bribes

When Jie Zhao, a wealthy Maryland businessman, wanted to get his two sons into Harvard, federal prosecutors said on Monday, he made connections with the school's longtime fencing coach, Peter Brand, who was having financial trouble. On Monday, Mr. Zhao, the chief executive of a telecommunications company, and Mr. Brand were arrested and charged with bribery.
