Georgia, LSU NIL Deals Spark Fights Over Media and Privacy Rights

A pair of public records lawsuits have been filed against two SEC powers that refused requests to disclose their athletes' NIL contracts. The latest legal action came last week, when the Athens Banner-Herald went to court against the University of Georgia Athletic Association, which denied copies of the NIL disclosure forms Bulldogs athletes are required to fill out.

Snapdragon Grabs Naming Rights For New San Diego State Stadium

Snapdragon, a brand of semiconductors used to power smart phones and a division of wireless technology giant Qualcomm, will hold the naming rights to San Diego State University's new football stadium. No public announcement has been made and it's unclear whether a deal has been signed, but an image circulating locally and viewed by VenuesNow shows a rendering with Snapdragon Stadium branding on the facility's exterior wall.

Gould named Pac-12 Deputy Commish; Zaninovich adds responsibilities

Teresa Gould has been named Deputy Commissioner of the Pac-12 Conference as part of a senior staff reorganization by new Commissioner George Kliavkoff. Jamie Zaninovich, who already carried the title of Deputy Commissioner & COO, will take on additional responsibilities as well, Kliavkoff said.

Scarano announces he's retiring as UNH athletic director

Marty Scarano announced Monday that 2021-22 will be the final school year he serves as the University of New Hampshire's athletic director. In a statement released by the school, Scarano said he plans to retire after serving as UNH's athletic director for 22 years.
