For the NCAA, the win will help it protect commercial interests related to the Final Four and ensure that its intellectual property is guarded from persons or organizations that might attempt to profit from NCAA brands.

Northwestern to redo stadium with 'incomparable' $480 million Ryan family gift

A redevelopment of Northwestern's Ryan Field is on the way, part of a $480 million gift to the school from Patrick and Shirley Ryan that will also support research in medical sciences and bolster university leadership positions in business. The gift is the largest in school history, and it comes from the biggest benefactors of the school and the Wildcats' athletic department.

Truist Signs On As Moody Center Sponsor

Truist has signed a five-year deal with Oak View Group to become an official bank sponsor of Moody Center, the $340 million arena under construction at the University of Texas in Austin. Separately, UT athletics signed a sponsorship with Truist to become a banking partner, a deal brokered by Learfield, the athletic department's multimedia rights holder.

UNC, Brandr Group unveil first licensees of co-branded merchandise
