Are the players that testify against Ole Miss potentially liable to a slander lawsuit. I know the NCAA has granted immunity but that won't apply to legal issues. In most of these cases it is going to be testimony of a verbal offer of benefits with no proof. Could ole miss sue them and accuse them of lying?

Or would it be foolish for Ole Miss to involve the court system because then some of their records could possibly be subpoenaed. Just curious what ole miss might do when they get backed into a corner. They are obviously in the cross hairs.

I just don't see the benefit for players to tell what was offered to them.
