Both traditionally cheap 'on the go' staples of huge populations & cultures have undergone the gastro pub treatment and IMO have boosted these timeless classics to new levels.... Now a grass fed, organically grown, medium rare sirloin burger for $15 + is a pretty common menu item.

same deal for el Taco, the fish taco, the goat taco, the "you name it" on freshly made corn tortillas, with fresh garnishes are hugely popular, the dang Avocado is like the most popular kid in school now... its simply everywhere.

So which do you prefer? Which do you actually eat more of?

I would have to say while the Burger probably my favorite of the two... I probably eat more tacos a year... they seem to be on every menu + the fact that you tend to eat 3 or so at a time... really makes it hard to consume more burgers on a yearly basis.
