The commissioners of the AAC, Mountain West, MAC, Sun Belt and Conference USA sent a letter to the NCAA President Mark Emmert seeking relief from some regulatory requirements for FBS schools, including the rule that schools sponsor at least 16 sports programs, as well as football attendance benchmarks, the minimum number of contests played in various sports and other scheduling and financial aid requirements.
