28. Golden State Warriors – Kennedy Chandler | 6-0 PG | Tennessee | 19 years old
Biggest need: Playmaker in the backcourt, 3-and-D wings.Kennedy Chandler gets after it defensively, and honing his shot and his playmaking in the G League for a year gives the Warriors a great backup point guard option. His free-throw shooting is alarmingly low at around 60 percent, but his shot looks pretty good. He’s a smart point guard on both ends of the floor, and he gives the Warriors a lot of upside with a cost-effective backup point guard to save Steph Curry’s legs a bit more.
Do you expect a trade here? The Warriors do have an insane luxury-tax bill, so moving off this pick could make sense, but it’s also a relatively low cost this late in the draft.
