The coaching staff should have gotten a transfer QB in the offseason

They had no confidence in Maurer or Shrout and JG was terrible last season. After the Indiana State game there was no reason to think he would be better than mediocre. Even if JG had miraculously improved, if he goes down who's our backup? They went into this year knowing they had one extremely inconsistent mediocre QB and a true freshman who they didn't even try to get ready. Not getting a single transfer QB to improve depth or skill at that position is a huge failure and it will cost them several games this year. If they don't find a better answer at QB next year it's inexcusable and they need to go.
