Arnold Palmer was a gentleman and the most gracious super star I have ever met. Understandably folks from Pennsylvania would interrupt his meals. I met him only one time, when he was eating the free breakfast at Bay Hill Club many years ago. Winnie was with him. He did not waste money but he was the most patient mega star ever. He made several fortunes but his greatest gift was to attract the less than wealthy to golf. His swing was not classic but his "charges" were of the ages. His army swamped the crowds for Nicklaus. He was a hero to many and will be terribly missed.
