Below is a post from an OSU mod on Emory Jones. These are my takeaways:

Positive: that he is not deciding this week. Even though the OSU mod has spun that his way all signs were pointing towards the Buckeyes and think it benefits us that he isn't picking this week. Also Butch has won his battles with Urb (JG, Richmond) and the more time the better. I think it's also positive that their main reason for believing it was a great visit to Columbus is because of the academics and meeting with an adviser. We hear that ALL the time from our mods and Butch is always stressing academics and sitting with an adviser, this is the standard for Vol visits and I am confident he has done this at some point while in Knoxville, too.
Negative: the fact that Jones and his mother are both talking to their mods and don't seem to be talking to ours, @P_Fortenberry or @Brent_Hubbs care to comment?

"So the latest word on Rivals100 QB Emory Jones, as of this afternoon, is that he will likely not announce a decision this week. It shouldn't be TOO much longer, however. The plan is still definitely to make an announcement this summer before the season starts in mid-August.

There has been a definite emphasis being placed on wanting to let last week's visits digest and not wanting to rush to an emotional decision. I have spoken with both Emory (today) and his mother Trina (yesterday) and everyone is on the same page with that. The thought is that he is making a very early decision anyway with two years of high school left, so just take a little extra time, whether it be a few days or a couple of weeks, to make sure the same feelings coming out of the visits are still present.

As I've said before, the Ohio State visit and the Tennessee visit both went very well and impressed both Jones and his mother. The Clemson visit didn't go poorly, just didn't get the same vibe from them as I did on the other two. Ohio State spending a lot of time talking about academics and giving him the tour and meeting with an adviser was something that really stood out.

Interestingly enough, I had an OSU source tell me today that they felt the further Jones delays the announcement the better for OSU's chances just based on Tennessee being the last visit and seeing eight players commit over the weekend. Surviving Sunday and Monday was "huge".

Still very much like where Ohio State is at here. Tennessee pushing very hard right now, but still a good level of confidence from the people that I'm talking to and still getting a good OSU vibe from Jones and those around him."
