A couple of weeks ago Stonewall asked what I knew about this bizarre story. The answer then was no more than what I read in the papers. I will not go into an update as this is widely reported, even at the national level, but I have checked with some people who know that area of SC, at least from a legal perspective. They are in agreement in their conclusions.

With Murdaugh in jail and his crime partner attorney Fleming suspended from the SC bar, the ducks are beginning to get in line as this unfolds. This is speculation, but there are many people who should know who think SLED (state law enforcement) have the full story--the murders; the scam of the Nanny's son who mysteriously fell down the stairs and died; and the weird hit man episode insurance fraud scheme. They are also investigating the death of the nanny/housekeeper. That part is unknown.

So, with Alex Murdaugh now in custody SLED has time to develop the case fully. Again, this is what many people are saying. But they know what happened. Officially, there is a tight lid on information. The judge who approved the scam, I am told, is nothing but a crook and that is well known in legal circles. I doubt she survives.

My opinion, and that is all it is, is that the nanny was murdered and that fits the narrative for the scam. And I also think Alex Murdaugh was in one way or anther involved with the murder of his son and wife. All he is saying and his lawyers are saying is that he has an alibi. This is the strangest unfolding story I have ever seen. Seldom do I keep up with high profile cases like this but I must admit this is like being hooked on a soap opera.

That is all...for now.
