With 20 commits, Mincey, and all those scheduled to return, we're at 88 or 89, depending on JT Carver's scholarship status. I think he's a PWO.
To add 6-7 more new kids, we're going to need ~10 kids to depart. Frankly, it's not hard, when looking at the roster, to find 10+ kids that could/should/may leave. Lots of dead weight, some probably disgruntled due to lack of PT, a couple may go to the show, etc. It's going to be interesting to watch CJH manage the numbers between now and 1-24-22, when the next semester starts.
Channeling my best VFF, it's also going to be interesting to see if there are position changes come spring. They're experimenting with Bell at DL and Marley at DB, but more moves are possible.
I do know for the first time in forever, I'm optimistic. We're headed in the right direction. I wasn't a fan of CJH being hired. I thought it was a lazy hire. I was wrong! He's proven he can scheme it up and did pretty damn good recruiting with a black cloud hanging over our head. No, we're not back, but we're a hell of a lot closer then we were.
