The Purdue players wanted it more and played with more heart for 60 minutes.

I am quoting someone in another thread and was curious as to whether you think this is true or not. And statements like these are always nebulous as you can't hook these players up to meters showing how much heart they are playing with.

Tennessee lost a football game for many reasons. Questionable or poor coaching decisions. Lack of execution on plays that they are capable of making and that would have won the game and certainly crappy officiating.

I did see 4th down plays being made to stay in the game including a 4th and 14. I saw a running back literally fighting for every inch to try to get a ball over the goal line which he actually did.

I saw a team making lots of mistakes but I saw a team trying like hell to win the game and I am hard pressed to throw them under the bus with a cheap shot, imo, of the other team wanting it more and playing with more heart. There is a lot to criticize regarding coaching decisions and execution but is motivation and heart a fair criticism.

Maybe I am wrong and saw it differently but I am curious as to opinion on that aspect of the performance.
