The only thing it tells me is that other coaches are using his age against him on the recruiting trail. They start recruiting players hard when they are Freshmen and Sophomores in H.S. so this move is just to tell them that nothing is changing with Saban through what will be their college career. Bama could've just as easily said he's got a lifetime contract but that is a little abstract for a 14-15 year old to visualize.
Now, I still think he's got 3-5 more years in him but the new contract doesn't change anything. Father Time is undefeated and catches up with everybody.
