Something I haven't seen discussed but the two plays before Eason's 47 yard TD were huge mistakes by our guys.
I don't remember who they were but two different guys tried to break up the pass on these two plays and ended up getting themselves out of position to make the tackle. They missed breaking up the pass and in both cases the Georgia players turned up field for an additional 7-10 yards or so.
Knocking the ball down in that situation is worse than tackling them after a 5 yard pickup. The clock would have kept running in both situations if our guys just make the tackle instead of trying to break up the pass. UGA would have had to use their last timeout on one of those and then the 10 second runoff would have been applied. A running clock is the most important thing there and it's worse to knock the ball down instead of tackling them inbounds and short of the first down.
