as you age being a VFL. I remember sitting next to Dewey Warren drinking a beer at the Roman Room as a Freshman thinking what a thrill that was. Everybody playing is roughly your age and you can identify. Then when you leave school and get further into your late twenties and early thirties, you kind of morph into a "wow that could be my younger brother out there playing". A nice but more distant feel. Next is when you look out onto the field and think, "wow that could be my son playing out there". That makes you feel good that Butch Jones is dealing with teenagers and not you. Next, which btw is my current stage, "wow that could be my grandson out there playing". At this point you are still excited about the game but you make sure where the closest bathroom is. I hope I make it to the final stage, "wow that could be my great grandson out there playing". If I get that far, the nurse will be wiping the oatmeal off of my chin during the game while I am trying to remember why they keep playing "Rocky Top". Don't laugh youngsters, your time is coming!! Ha!Ha!
