I saw my first UT game in 1972 and sat in the old section x... When UT football has been great and or at least fun to be a fan is when we had a winning culture from the top down to the locker room. Great leadership and full engagement from the fans. That was best on display in the 90's with Joe Johnson, Doug Dickey, Phillip Fulmer, great teams and rocking Neyland stadium with fans. Kiffin we will never know, Dooley just wasn't good, Butch had horrible AD support the University was a train wreck and he lost the locker room and ultimately the fans, Pruitt just pissed everyone one off day one in the athletic admin, yes he had Fulmer but everyone didn't like his arrogance. His staff was horrible at working together and in fact worked against each other, then we have all the investigations we will ultimately find out about. At least for now we have a UT admin that is working with an AD who is supporting his coach. CJH seems to have built staff that will work together. Now we as fans have to get behind this team, let them build and develop over the next 3 years and we will see winning football again.
