I was just thinking about the underperformance of our OL and it occurred to me that we might not be that far away from being really good. Morris has been hurt all year and missed almost all of camp in quarantine. Wright has not played well but he is a different type of guy and as I recall it was some question as to whether he would even play this year because of Covid19. He might just not be that wired in this year. In any event they are just 2nd year OL and could end up being very good next year.
That raised another question. We’ve got a bunch of highly touted WRs that have done very little this year but could also be good maybe very good next year. We’ll also have a really exciting BIG RB coming in. I think it’s almost a given that we will be MUCH MUCH better at QB next year. Between Salter coming in January and HB seemingly coming on it’s reasonable to expect we at the very least have an adequate SEC QB and perhaps even better.
As bad as things have looked offensively the last 6 quarters we could be on the cusp of being a good maybe even a very good offensive team next year.
