Bama's opponents are 18-13 this year. The only really good team they have played is Ole Miss. None of these teams are considered strong rushing teams. So I think Bama's defensive rushing average yards per game is a bit skewed. Plus, teams have, in many cases, gotten down quickly and have had to pass more.
Hurts is a huge threat, but he is also a freshman. He hasn't faced a defensive line like ours or a stadium environment like Neyland (assuming UT fans actually have held onto their tickets and not sold them to Bammers.) Their running game is good, but not dominant like in past years. Their secondary gave up a ton of passing yards to Arky, who isn't that good, and to Ole Miss. We have a ton of weapons on offense. Bama typically loses at least one game in the regular season, even in Championship years. If we can take care of the football, I believe we can win this game. Bama will always be really good under Saban. I'm just not convinced that they are the dominant, unbeatable team that the media thinks they are. Bama IS beatable. Hopefully our loss to aTm will have us more focused and we will hold onto the football....
